COVID-19 Testing at Rains ISD | hand holding covid-19 test on blue background with title and Texas R & TEA logos

The district has provided COVID-19 testing in an effort to keep our students and staff healthy. COVID-19 testing protocols have significantly changed since the beginning of the school year due to new test providers. Please carefully read the following:

  • If your child is sick, please do not send them to school. An appointment must be made with your child's campus clinic for your child to be tested if they have COVID-19 symptoms. No student will be tested without the presence of a parent or guardian. Parents must complete an online registration form and fill out a new Rains ISD testing consent form before testing can begin.
  • Parents will be provided with a campus clinic form showing test results for their child if the child is under 18 years of age. If a person is over the age of 18, he/she will be provided with test results on a patient portal established through the testing vendor.
  • If you choose to have our child tested at a doctor's office or a COVID-19 testing center, your campus clinic must be notified. The school district does not accept results from an over-the-counter COVID-19 test kit.

Please note: The Rains Child Development Center does not meet criteria to be tested with this new TEA testing program.

If your child has symptoms of COVID-19, please contact your child's campus to further information regarding rapid antigen testing.

For Test Takers under the age of 18:

NOTE: A completed Rains ISD consent form will be required to test.

  • Campus Access Code:
    • Elementary: RAINSEL
    • Intermediate: RAINSINT
    • Junior High: RAINSJH
    • High School: RAINSHS

The link will direct you to give consent for your minor on the Concentric website. You will need your campus access code when registering your child. Once you have entered the link and access code you will then enter the child's information and follow the prompts on the screens. The process should take a family approximately 3-5 minutes to complete. Families will not have access to an online account.

For Test Takers over the age of 18:

NOTE: This link is different from the under 18 link and a Rains ISD consent form will be required to test.

  • Campus Access code:
    • Elementary: RAINSEL
    • Intermediate: RAINSINT
    • Junior High: RAINSJH
    • High School: RAINSHS

Test takers that are over the age 18 must create a personal account on the Concentric website. You will need your campus’ access code to create your account. When creating a personal account, the website will ask you to provide individual consent.
